Axel for example is very similar in appearance and personality to Reno from FF7, it would change something in the games if instead of an OC named Axel, the Organization XIII member had the same appearance of Reno and was called Reno (or a name similar to this one but with an X to keep the pattern, like for example Oxner)? KH's main villain first appeared in person was on BBS! I'm not saying games shouldn't have Final Fantasy characters in them, for example, I think Radiant Garden should have been a playable world in KH3 and have its own plot in it, with the FF characters from Leon's group having as supporting characters (along with the organization members who became humans of this world obviously).Īnd the main reason is this: FF characters in KH are also OC! Some of them are actually Radiant Garden natives with completely different stories than their original versions, others are children from Destiny Islands or teenagers from Twilight Town! They are not the same characters from the original FF games, they are just other characters who share appearance and personality with the FF characters (except Leon who is not even called Squall in the game!). I created this thread because I'm really confused as to why people care so much about Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts but get mad at "Nomua's OC".
